Warren joined Dingley Marshall in 2017 as an Associate in the Commercial Law unit.

Warren specialises in general corporate commercial legal work and he has been part of deal teams for the acquisition of major assets. He has also worked extensively on large regulatory projects, for entities such as Old Mutual and the Barclays Africa Group.

Warren worked as in house commercial counsel for a number of large corporate entities both in South Africa and the United Kingdom (UK). His in house work generally related to non-litigious and litigious commercial work, usually undertaken in a regulatory environment.

Warren has a wealth of corporate experience and is well positioned to assist businesses with their everyday legal requirements as well as their long-term projects (restructuring, due diligence, regulatory compliance).

Warren commenced articles at Cliffe Dekker after completing his degrees at the University of Cape Town and was admitted as an attorney in 1999. In 2001 Warren qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and worked as an in house counsel in the UK for some 8 years, assisting entities such as EA Sports, EDF Energy, 20th Century Fox (Kids) and British Waterways (as they then were).

Warren returned to South Africa in 2007 and commenced employment with Old Mutual (South Africa) as commercial counsel. In 2010 Warren was asked to lead the Western Cape division of the newly created Barclays Africa Group (“BAG”).

Since leaving BAG in 2014, Warren practiced for his own account before joining Dingley Marshall.
